I think it would be a shame to see the full list come to a halt, especially after all your hard work in maintaining it. Plus, would there be a loss of context to some extent? However, if you want to...

I think it would be a shame to see the full list come to a halt, especially after all your hard work in maintaining it. Plus, would there be a loss of context to some extent? However, if you want to...
It seems quite fitting that I should back you up, BF! :D I'll definitely second your proposal, as I love the stuff. My Beer of the Year 2013.
Will definitely keep an eye out for this. It will be interesting to compare it to Red Squirrel's American Pale Ale, which I think is a superb beer and one of my BOTYs, last year.
As mentioned on the BOTW thread, I was bowled over by Roosters Baby Faced Assassin. I dithered a bit about which category it should go in, but I think it's at least on a par with the Lotus IPA, so...
I normally have a lot of time for Martyn Cornell, but thought this article was an absolute crock. The comments below the article are far more telling.
Acorn is definitely one of my 'go to' breweries, will always try one of their beers if it's on the pumps. Fortunately, they're only about eight miles down the road from me.
As mentioned in the BOTW thread, Tigertops 'New Wave IPA' is definitely worthy of inclusion into the 'Good'.
No qualms from me, TP. More than happy for it to go in the FB category.
Another one for the good list is Great Heck's Shankar IPA, a 5.9% hop beast. Made with Columbus, Cascade, Citra and Chinook, it is also dry hopped with more Columbus, Cascade and Williamette. Not for...
Blimey, TP! That didn't take you long. Definitely more user friendly. Buy that man a pint...of IPA.
It's a great list TP, but I wonder if the time has come to put it in alphabetical order, if you can face doing it. Should keep you out of mischief for a while.
I suspect one brand is viewed as more experimental than the other. There are precedents for this. The original Roosters used the Outlaw brand for its more left field beers and Abbeydale still uses Dr...
Had another belter from Fernandes last night, sampled in 'headquarters' (aka The Fernandes Tap). West Coast IPA 6.3% was all grapefruit on the nose, with a rich, smooth mouthfeel. Delicious and...
Great Heck's Yakima IPA is an excellent brew, definitely belonging to the 'good' category and borderline for an 'FB' rating.
After gushing elsewhere about Roosters / Odells The Accomplice, I really need to nominate it to the good list here. Infact, you might want to consider opening a f*****g brilliant category and placing...
Seeing this thread again has reminded me to nominate Holts IPA to the duff list. For a start it's 3.8%. The brewery puff talks about 'relatively high bitterness and fragrant hop aroma' You could have...
A little bit late chipping in on this thread, but I would echo the comments above about the fluidity of the term these days, plus not getting too hung up on style boundaries. From a limited personal...
Don't want to be pedantic* 'ob', but there's no reason why it couldn't have been Acorn Santiam, as it's been available since mid-October:
