Hi
I'm spending a week in Weymouth soon. The Boot isn't to be missed, and I'm going to find the Square & Compass this time.
Are there any other "must visit" pubs in the area? Is there anywhere...
Is anyone going to be in Folkestone on Friday for the Chambers bar beer festival :o) - look out for me if you are...
I had a pint of that last week in the Hooden in Great Chart (Kent). It wasn't the best beer of the evening, but it was drinkable. Perhaps you had a bad batch?
On an average saturday afternoon it's four to five pints, but "doing the gallon" isn't unusual for me.
I'm reliably informed that my record is twenty one pints of Pride at a good friend's wedding....
Does anyone know of a half-way decent pub on the isle of Sheppey?
I've been to the Ship on Shore (which isn't bad), but I was wondering if there's anywhere there which has more has one ale on?
FWIW Streetview became active in my neck of the woods over the last few days - the picture of my house is over a year out of date.
You have to laugh (at them) - Having told us all to get knotted, I see on their forum they now want to encourage contributors like those they've actively driven over here.....
http://www.youtube.com/mankybadger is absolutely nothing to do with me. At all !!!!
I spoke with the brewery about Late Red late last year... It has been so popular in that past that they decided to keep it on in place of their winter seasonal (porter). However the weinter seasonal...

Meanwhile over on the other place, I see the management has written "we've asked for guest posters for the blog repeatedly for over 2yrs.. never had anyone wanting to contribute!"
Does anyone...
Cheers :)
Daft question - I'm sure it's been asked before.....
How does one report a pub as being closed?
Welcome to the "Banned" club....
As one of the "Banned" i find it rather ironic that I can no longer post to the forum (not that I actually did very much), but I can still review pubs. I suppose...
Feel free to post away :p
The tour was... not what I was expecting.
Pub-wise we found the Pride of Spitalfields and the Dispensary to be good, and the Ten Bells to be awful. And a lot of places that we didn't bother with,...
I was in both of these places last Thursday.
You missed the better place...
I see they've turned the pop-ups back on....
I didn't realise I'd posted in the wrong place - sorry :o)
Please feel free to put this thread where it should be :o)
I mentioned a few months ago in "another place" about a possible pub crawl in Maidstone. We went on that crawl yesterday - if you're ever within striking distance of Maidstone, here's a few...
I agree - within reason.
However if a branch is to be organising stuff like POTY selections, quiz nights, whatever, then they need to communicate with the membership. My point is that in ten years...
I left CAMRA because of the way they vote for pubs of the year.
Last year there was a quote that the pub of the year was chosen from pubs selected by 4000 CAMRA members, but the membership is over...
Hi
Advice please.... Next week a friend is leading us on a "Jack the Ripper" tour around parts of London where Jack did his thing. We're starting in Whitechapel and ending at Liverpool Street.

BITE have a strange idea of how to run a website.... they are utterly dependent on the good will of others to do endless unpaid work for them.
And rather than thanking them, they insult their...
