A bottle of Saltaire Cascade, whilst cooking two huge batches of spag bol (one meat, one veggie). Makes a nice change from all the red wine I've had this weekend.

Daredn't think beyond tonight! Hope someone else is paying.
Your presence is a good omen. I seem to remember you galvanised the England cricket team by drinking endless pints of Jennings Cumberland at Trent Bridge. Go to it! :)
As mentioned before, if I'm cooking I'm usually drinking. A bottle of Mallinson's Danger: Hops! whilst preparing a vegetable curry.
Mmm. Nice. Haven't had any RRM for ages.
No, definitely not! Top of my list at the moment is Marble Lagonda IPA, which will probably set Thuck Phat salivating as I type. To say we're just over the Pennines, Marble beers are quite rare, in...
Actually, I could quite believe it, Moby. I've had two tea flavoured beers this year that have been surprisingly good. Fyne's Blooming Brew was infused with Green Tea and was really refreshing. My...
Apparently, Tory MPs will pay quite a lot for that sort of service.
Abscess makes the heart grow fonder. Just think how good that first pint will taste.
As is often the case, if I'm cooking, I'm drinking. Monday night is traditionally chilli night in the a&h household. Aiding its preparation is a bottle of Fullers Wild River, a real fave at the...
I often have a couple of bottles when cooking. Tonight it's Saltaire Blonde whilst preparing a prawn curry. Just the job on a hot sticky evening.
A bottle of Acorn Old Moor Porter, whilst preparing Fish Plaki, a Greek dish of baked fish, in a white wine, tomato, garlic, parsley and lemon sauce. Delicious on both counts!
Go on, Dave. Have another one - you deserve it. Enjoy your break.
In the York Tap for 9.30? You lucky, lucky ba.............
Hey, hondo. Look on the bright side. At least you've got a good excuse to go back to the Tap, to wash the taste away.
How very moderate of you Clive. Surely worthy of a spleen venting post on the 'Pub Annoyances' thread? :D
One of mine too, when it's on form. Unfortunately, I think it's always been overshadowed by Old Peculier, but when it's good it's delicious.
Having taken an age to peel a kilo of red prawns, to use the shells in a stock for pasta sauce, that bottle of Saltaire Cascade Pale Ale is tasting soooo good.
Kernel IPA (7.3 %), hopped with Stella and Cascade. Nice, but I prefer the Table Ale at half the strength.
Batemans Vintage Ale, whilst the chilli is reducing down nicely.
Just nipped into my village pub for a swifty, on the way back from the local shop. Had to settle for Ossett Yorkshire Blonde. £2.70, for a pint of sheer tedium.
Well somebody's having a good afternoon! Have to agree though.
After a day battling with an overgrown garden, I'm polishing off the last of a decent Costiere de Nimes, with an Ilkley Mary Jane chaser.
Just polishing off the last of the beers I received on Fathers Day - M&S Chocolate Porter (Robinson's Chocolate Tom) To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of chocolate flavoured beers, but with it being...
Peppermint effin' tea. Hopefully, something a little stronger later on.......And I don't mean Bovril.
