None for me and apart from the 2nd pub the criteria is a bit flimsy. But I'm not a fan of Christmas so what do I know?
Wakefield is quite good, as is Preston. I wouldn't bother with Warrington to be honest.
Liverpool has seen a number of new pubs/bars opening in the last 12 months and the City Centre has seen the most. They are all, without exception, crap. And it hasn't got much better in Merseyside as...
Which just goes to prove that popular does not always mean good.
Scotts Cellar, Liverpool is SEEL ST, not Wolstenhome Sq
Reasonably funny sign outside Kings Arms, Salford.
1877
And some piccalilli shinpads hopefully.
The New Oxford - Salford.
None for me and its highly unlikely that score will be improved on.
In a strangely deserted Roscoe Head, Liverpool.
In a shitty Slug And Lettuce in Manchester waiting for The New Oxford to open. Oh, wait, its open now.
Fernandes Brewery Tap, Wakefield.
A favourite destination for me with good pubs. The Salopian, the Armoury (beer wise that is), The Dolphin, Wheatsheaf (I like both of them but beer wise the one in town is better), Loggerheads and...
Just the 2 for me. The Duke William and The Wheatsheaf.
15/15 for me. It is hard to say which is best but I do like Marble Arch and Crown And Kettle.
Was there yesterday. Got a few in before having to get train back to Liverpool. Enjoy.
Bulls Head - Birmingham. Had a lovely stout on on the hottest day 'ever'.
Birkenhead is dire. Blackburn is woeful. Rhyl is crap. Fleetwood is poor. Chorley, however, is surprisingly very good.
5 for me. It also looks like a good reason to join the RAC instead.
The fact that The S*n has won makes this list instantly useless.
3 for me. Old Man And Scythe, Ye Old Trip To Jerusalem and Ye Old Salutation.
Seen in a pub toilet in Ludlow. Unfortunately I can't remember which pub.
Sadly the article is in The S*n so I couldn't give a toss.
Just 10 for me.
