I love Newcastle for a crawl and have been to a few on the list, Hotspur, Bridge Hotel, Crown Posada, Strawberry, Bacchus, Tilly's Bar, and Bodega. Also done from the list Black Bull Corbridge, Olde...
So the brewery produces an ale how he wants you to experience it, and the publican can muck about with it. Reading the article, I hope they only muck about with your pint if you request it, rather...
Very interesting blog. Went through the lot, comments and all. Trademark issues seem to keep cropping up. Stupid mainly.
Link doesn't work for me. (gobbledegook!!) What have they done?
I remember when Cameron's brewery had hundreds of pubs around the North East when I used to exchange National Insurance cards for the employees 4 times a year.
We have been to 3,4, 6,7 & 9.
Too true. Rat Race is a great "micro" pub.
And he’s asking its 130 scientists to dream up new “innovations and concepts” to attract women — by offering sweeter-tasting beer.
Hate this type casting drivel. I like beer. Full stop.
Might be worth a trip over for their beer festival in Norwich. Used to go for the week and do a trawl of the pubs while there. Seems to have improved since we were there a few years ago.
Good luck to anyone opening micro pub ventures like this. More of our city centres could do with a small oasis of real ale. We love the Rat Race on Hartlepool railway station.

Is the stinkpipes link above a bug. It sent my PC crazy. I got rid of dozens of pages and logged off for a while, and seem to be back ok, but it was really scary.
Is there anyone here from Doncaster way? Haven't got a link but heard that there is going to be a minimum charge for alcohol of £1.20 so that if the pint costs £1.85 the half or third will cost...

Had a look round as I thought Brigantes in York was part of Market Town Taverns and found above link. ...
I always enjoy the Swan and the Slip too as they are my locals when stopping in the nearby caravan park. Looking forward toi a few days there when York beer festival is on in September.
Hope your MP's don't read this as I am sure they must be debating ways to get oldies off the bill.
Third attempt at posting and may give up if I keep getting "Are you sure you want to navigate...
This is great news. I get to the Sheffield Tap each visit to Sheffield, and sometimes a quick dash changing trains, and have been to the interesting building housing Euston Tap too.
Will be in...
We are thinking the husband creche we saw was in Canterbury, but we didn't go into the pub so haven't got a record of it.
We have seen that notice, but not at the pub PH has put up, unless there are more than one of them.
Not going to settle now till I find it!!
just catching up after a few days without electric in caravan.
The comment about the ladies sitting in front of the dartboard made me think that a lot of the pubs I do actually see a dartboard in,...
