Very quiet with BOTW going to Muirhouse Hat Trick IPA. A 5.2% passable IPA from a new brewery to me.
I don't mind it either but, as with all beer styles, there are good and less good traditional brown bitters and, I find, a well kept pint of Tiger is definitely one of the good ones. Same with Bass...
Some similarities to Mr F above:
Kirkstall Dissolution IPA*
Marble Lagonda
Lenton Lane Kapua Roa Ma*
Chapter Brewing Dead Man's Fist*
Moonface Dancing Queen
Blue Monkey Monkey Chocolate...
This week:
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Church Farm Session IPA
Titanic The Wreckage
North Cotswold Windrush
Abbeydale Moonshine*
The Wreckage may well have taken the title had not just had a...
Despite stiff competition from The Tamworth Tap and The Last Heretic, amongst others of Burton's finest, POTM goes to The Smithfield for it's superb selection of cask ales.
Quality:
Brunswick Rocket
Marble Export Mild*
Empire White Lion*
Elland Beyond the Pale*
Durham Bede's Chalice*
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
All starred were good but BOTW has to be Durham...
Dull week with just old favourite BOTW Oakham Bishops Farewell featuring. A top quality fresh barrel saw the 3 pint test demolished.
Some overlap with the above:
Tiny Rebel 93 til Infinity
Neepsend Avalou*
Thornbridge Jaipur IPA*
Trinity Brewing All Because of Captain Wow*
Purple Moose Glaslyn Ale
Blue Monkey Chocolate...
Quality this week mainly courtesy of the Seven Stars:
Oakham Bishops Farewell*

Brunswick ESP The Ghan*
All good and all deserving of BOTW most...
Thank Ian, that's useful and I didn't know about it.
I am following plenty but no emails. Perhaps I should view that as an incentive to get reviewing again and following everything newly done.
I followed every pub I reviewed and haven't had a notification for years. One of the reasons my incentive to review has diminished but only one.
Meant to contact Dave about it but never got...
Better week with Coventry featuring heavily:
Pomona Island Poor Moon
Byatts Karma Rama*
Two by Two Porter*
Phipps Steam Roller*
Marstons Wainwright
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Enjoyed the...
Meagre pickings compared to the North Western lists:
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Lacons Legacy*
BOTW Lacons Legacy. A bitter, refreshing, 4.4% pale.
Limited this week with Abbeydale Moonshine making a worthy BOTW.
No cask this week as I couldn't find any in France:
Lagunitas Session IPA k
Affligem k *
Leffe 0.0 b (in error)
Eurofizz (unidentified)
Polar Monkeys IPA k *
White Rabbit IPA k *
Sainte Cru...
Bad cold maybe.
Belgian and served in a pint sized cocktail glass but beggars can’t be choosers.
BOTW Affligem. The best of a cold and fizzy bunch.
Good list. 10 for me and unlikely to add to that in the future.
Very limited this week with just Oakham Bishops Farewell on cask. Very good as ever.
Hence, BOTW goes to Marble Cubbio Damage from a can. Still superb nontheless.
Quality not quantity (of choice):
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Hop Back Summer Lightening*
Adnams Ghost Ship*
Woodforde's Nelson*
Thoroughly enjoyed all these but BOTW goes to Woodforde's Nelson...
Some interesting beers this week, most found in the ever reliable Seven Stars.
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
XT Animal Guinea Fowl
Fownes Seven Crowns Sunburst IPA*
Lakealand IPA
Leatherbritches...
Speak!!
Saw they had a Marble tap takeover. Very envious, hope you enjoyed it fully.
BOTW Blue Monkey Infinity + 1. An gem of a beer which saw rather more than 3 pints disappearing.:nishelypished:
Not sure it’s Coventry’s first micropub. Beer Gonzo may lay claim to that although it is beyond the inner ring road, as much is in Cov.
A welcome addition to Cov’s drinking choices nonetheless and...
