See you in Derby.
excellent Strongers - I'm in awe!
Thanks guys... Although it has taken me over 2 years to do the last 300!
Due to a sudden death in the family I had to take all of my holiday leave so I'm afraid I will be missing the Derby trip :(
Sorry to hear that.
Especially after all the trouble you took to rig the vote.
Sorry to hear of your tragic news Strongers, my thoughts are with you.
Congratulations to ROBCamra for becoming only the seventh person to reach the 2,000 review mark - a mighty fine achievement.
The Magnificent Seven - at my rate of progress it'll take another 2 years to join them!
I see our enigmatic Hondo is several words away from breaking the 2000 barrier... :notworthy:
woosh :D
copy and paste is a wonderful thing The Lamb Inn
Keep up the good work hondo :notworthy:
Also noticed that Mr Bundy has burst through the 2000 barrier, and less one word reviews most welcome.
The standard of reviews is definitely better. This one made me laugh as it painted a real picture of the place.
Well done Hondo and Bunders, loving your work
He is not one of us but a guy I know from Scoopgen ticks pubs and beer but pubs are his thing.Since starting in 1973 he has done just short of 40,000.Today he posted he has just reached 1700 in Kent. Impressive stats yeah?
1000 pubs a year is impressive, does he have a liver?
Congrats to Aqualung for breaking the 1000 barrier!
Thanks but it really is just a number to me as is the new pubs visited thread. Contrary to popular belief, at the moment less than half of these are JDWs. I'm more concerned about how I'm going to manage to get to the Wick Spoons without spending two whole days on trains or devoting an entire week on it. I see nobody else has been there yet. It looks like Thurso would be a better place to set up base.
Annoyingly an old mate's sister has been there recently!
Well done Aqua. You seem to have had a new lease of life recently.Keep up the good work.cheers john
I knew about that so was on the lookout for any signs but as is often the case there was nothing. I was there on a weekday morning and it seemed no less busy than any other of their outlets at that time of day but the rock bottom guest ale price must say something. Maybe Berwick is too small a town for an outlet that size, although the pub isn't exactly a barn.
Basically yes but I'm not including airport or NEC ones. It's great to visit other pubs and I tend to only do a "Spoons Rampage" in cities or large urban sprawls. With all the closures it requires a huge effort to work out how many I've been to and all I know for sure is it's over 400. My target for the year which is already looking a doddle is to have visited at least one pub for every English County in the JDW directory.
Hats off to Quinno for bursting through the 3,000 review total,a fantastic achievement . :notworthy::cheers:
Well done Quinno
