What’s a “standalone consumer retail experience”? Do they mean a shop?

Kirkstall in Tetleys? Interesting on various fronts. I think they need to be careful about over-expanding though.

Is it me or are people just too sensitive nowadays? One complaint in over half a century, and CAMRA goes all woke.
While I agree with the reasons behind CAMRA's policy that " no pub or club should be considered for an award if it displays signs or objects that could be offensive to consumers due to their discriminatory nature.", there is no allowance for context. `Does it also mean that I could wander into any pub, see something I "don't like" (pork pies discriminate against vegans, Hebrews and Muslims, First Aid kits discriminate against dead people, pictures of the King discriminate against republicans, models of the Starship Enterprise, like toilet paper, discriminate against Klingons, national flags discriminate against everybody, football and rugby memorabilia discriminate against other clubs, almost any historical relic probably discriminates against someone) and get the pub debarred from any award?
Or should I go back the the last Century where I knew where I stood?
True, but none of the things mentioned were responsible for the murder of 6m Jews - many of whom were tortured to death or worked to death as slave labour - nor the laying waste to Europe with a total death toll of 60m; I suspect complaints were a reflection of the Jewish population of Cornwall, i.e. zero.
