No luck with the name but judging by this it was converted from a pub to an off license in 1958. I'd hoped the name might appear on those documents but no such luck.

If we are playing that game any idea what this one in Highbridge, adjacent to George Hotel on Church Road at number 111.

The fourth post on this thread suggests it was called the Lamb Inn. http://81.21.74.144:81/burnhamonsea/...3a582d491f0808
Cheers PSM. I'd looked briefly after I'd visited the pubs left in Highbridge and took picture but couldn't find anything obvious. on WWW. Obviously didn't type correct words in Google.
OK here's a new one to try and work out. After watching Cider with Rosie tonight I've noticed the The Woolpack isn't the Woolpack in the 1998 adaptation. Having been to all the Stroud Valley pubs I can't work out where it is, Google seems broke too. Does anybody know what pub it is, if it is a pub? The other ironic thing is the Stroud Valley Pub book I have doesn't actually list the Woolpack in it.

Pretty certain it's not a pub, but this row of houses in the village of Sapperton.

If you turn round 180 degrees, you can see the low stone wall the shot was taken behind. The wall forms the boundary of the village school playground, hence all the kids running around in the shot. If you forward the movie to 1:33, you can see St Kenelm's church, also in the same village.
I can't fault any of the above and naively given my urban upbringing prior to OCD pub visiting, Sapperton was the first location I encountered a parking zone for horses at a pub.

Also drove past the pub/house when going between the Bell and Daneway in Sapperton on June 21st 2013 so should've recognised it.
Thanks for giving me a sleep-full night. http://themaresnest.files.wordpress....11/worship.gif
