I will keep count this year though don't expect to get near last years 310, to much dirge and bad beer involved( Its easier for you Lager boys ), though of course you do find some good and unexpected excellent pubs as well, we will see.
I will be happy to get up to the 1500 review mark,so around 100 new pub visits is the target.PuG crawls are a good source of new visits for me,but there's not much of the inland waterway system that I haven't navigated,so new canalside pub visits are rare these days.
Good luck everybody.
Last year I did not count the pubs as I had 2 new total knee replacements and thought I would only achieve a minor total even though I think I got about 300. So now I am fighting fit and set this years target at 400
No targets for me, but got off to a ridiculously good start with 20 new pubs in the first three days: Brighton and Portsmouth. Won't be keeping that pace up!
If you end up in any Spoons and don't like the look of the cask (it happens too often for my liking) try the two Sixppoint beers. They come in 2/3 pint tins. The Bengali is usually £1.99 and is around 6.5% and the Resin is £2.99 at 9.1%. I've never seen them in a supermarket or other pubs but I don't really look for tins and bottles in most pubs. An increasing number seem to be doing "craft" keg. I came across Oakham Green Devil in the Hants / IOW area last year. Watch the prices though, Sambrook's IPA is £3.69 in the brand new Greenwood Hotel in Northolt but they are trying to get away with £4.25 in the Leytonstone Walnut Tree. Both have the same Standard Guest Ale price of £2.49. I told the bloke in the Walnut Tree where to stick it! I often try the Devil's Backbone in Spoons as it comes as a "free" drink with the food clubs. The quality of it varies a lot, probably as much as the cask so there's no way that keg is a silver bullet for problems with cask ale. I think the quality of the brew has gone down since they introduced it but I don't think the price has changed.

While in Dundee in the summer the three Wetherspoon pubs had bottled beers from Scottish brewers in the fridges and none were the usual suspects. Good on you Tim.
Managed 10 yesterday in the Birmingham area although only bargained for 5. I forgot my bus pass which was not that big a deal till I realised all the buses I went on was correct change only so I had to keep going in pubs to get change and later in the centre had to go in more pubs for frequent leeks.
Got off the mark last night with 7 new pubs in East Didsbury, Heaton Mersey & Burnage.
Real Ale Shack was visited in Warrington yesterday - slightly surreal location in a 1980s style indoor market.
4 more new bars along with several old favourite pubs in Manchester on Friday drifts me up to 11.
Off to a good start - 21 in the first month.
Are we doing quinnos this year? If so, I'm on 8.
Managed 1 a day so currently on 31 new pubs with 25 revisits so year tally at 56 pubs.
Just 4 in the first month.
A short week in Yorkshire afforded four new pubs-well three new, and one which I hadn't reviewed for some reason.
21 new visits in January, including the Metro-land citadels of Chorleywood, Ickenham and Rickmansworth all safely ticked off this year's 'to-do' list.
January was a decent start for me ,18 new pubs visited.Progress will slow in February.....
Good start to the year for me. Did a crawl round Hockley which netted me 7 new visits. An overnighter in Brentford gave me another 21.
Throw in the new Bierkeller in Brum and i am on 29. Not bad for the first month!
After doing 14 yesterday in Cheltenham and 3 in Bridgwater today now on 48.
Nope as I do pints to count a new pub as a new pub, if I was to drink a half as Al does I couldn't count the pub properly as a new pub. Late start on Saturday as got a lift there from friends going to see Black Sabbaths last gig and NEC and train back at half nine so not a full day.
Despite visiting the well trodden paths of Sheffield, Chesterfield & York I still managed to bag 16 new pubs, add 3 more bars in Manchester last night and I'm now on 30.
After 15 in Cheltenham yesterday and walking ~11.5km now at 82.
38 new visits in February takes me up to 59, year to date.
On 41 for the year so far.
Only on 11 so far but I'm not intentionally going for it this year, but intend to join the 1000 club , which can involve revisits as there are many pubs on the main site I've been to in the past but not reviewed , as I don't see the point in doing retro reviews beyond six months, the pub scene is constantly changing.
11 new ones in Cheltenham yesterday, did a couple of revisits on way back to station so up to 114 now.
2 more bars in Manchester yesterday after visiting the Northern Restaurant & Bar Show drift me up to 32.
