Hole in the Wall
I really enjoyed this one on the Portsmouth crawl, and will stay a lot longer next time .The only downside would seem to be the limited opening hours.
The North Star
Brilliant pub in Leytonstone with beer and boozer appeal.
Birmingham's excellent Wellington.
No new pubs this month and only a couple not on my usual run. I've always found the beer quality a little variable at the Head of Steam, Leeds, but enjoyed several decent beers, in good nick, on a recent Monday night visit, with the Mrs.
Trips to York and Middlesbrough, plus usual trips around Stockton. Nothing exceptional but I enjoyed the hospitality and food as well as the beer in York The Maltings.
The Kings Arms
Enjoyed a revisit and found the choice of beer to be the best I've seen here.
Williams Ale & Cider House Made a second visit recently.Decent pub, appears not to be as hectic as some closer to Liverpool Street Station.
I visited few new pubs last month but having returned to the City Arms in Cardiff I'm going for that rather than a repeat. It was quite an unremarkable Brains pub in the past but now does a good range of proper guest ales and some ciders making it one of the best ale options in the city.
