Wonder who got into it?
Just noticed that all readers get a free can of Skol too - classy.

A News of the World pub guide advertised by Jim Bowen with the obligatory buxom barmaid complete with 1970’s perm, people drinking lager out of pint pots and you can win a can of Skol. As you say ‘classy’, the advert must be a few years old.
And people say the eighties were crap!
Is the background voice Dave the barman from Minder???
Tricky..
My first reaction was Bob Hoskins as I definately got a 'Long Good Friday' vibe when hearing it...
But listened to it a couple of times now and I'm not too sure... but I probably still go with Bob.
And I keep expecting the legend that is Jim Bowen to put the can of Skol down and say "now let's see what you could have won"...
Don't think so - Bob Hoskins is a better bet.
Here's Dave from Minder for comparison:

Doesn't sound like either to me, probably just some voice -over artiste maybe Cockney Wanker from Viz :D
After spending out on a big star like Jim Bowen there wouldn't be much left in the kitty for Hoskins or even Glynn Edwards. Rupert Murdoch didn't get to be a billionaire forking out for talent of that calibre ;).
