Watching the Olympics you keep seeing the http://www.london2012.com/spectators...ic-park/orbit/ sculpture/tower whatever it is in the Olympic park.
My favourite monument is the Scott (Sir Walter) monument in Edinburgh's princes street gardens it looks like the love child of the houses of parliament and thunderbird 3.

British Airways were giving free Avios to those flying on days when GB won medals. I flew yesterday and that was the first day kf the Games when we won no medals whatsoever. :moremad:
