No pub this week: on the bottled front I've particularly enjoyed Harvey's Star of Eastbourne IPA at 6%+abv a highly drinkable strong 'un. Not bottle conditioned,unfortunately, but Harvey's can be forgiven that on this occasion.

There was some great ale in Hull,special mention to Atom brewery which I hadn't come across before but will keep an eye open for in future . BOTW however goes to an old favourite Titanic Plum Porter in The Admiral of the Humber

The Dark Star Revelation was particularly enjoyable for the Cheapskate Monday price of £1.89 at the E4 Kings Ford and also for £2.29 at the Nottingham Roebuck (twice). The Saltaire Triple Choccy was also pretty good at the improving E11 Walnut Tree for £2.45.
The winner however is the Kent Prohibition APA for £3.40 and in superb nick at the suburban Whitstable Tankerton Arms micropub.

All very good with the Gold Star being a proper and very drinkable IPA.
BOTW Church End Rest in Peace. Described to me as a pale barley wine seems about right. Amber coloured, beautifully balanced and dangerously moreish at 7%.

My favourite two were the Five Towns and Siren. However, the latter was too cold for my palate, so I'll give it to the Spaceboy, another very sessionable pale 'un.

I know it's a perennial favourite, but a well-kept pint of Titanic's superb Plum Porter always hits the spot. As sampled in Reading's The Back of Beyond.
