Beer of the Week (w/e 12 December 2010)
-
A rather quiet and unadventurous week for me. It's going to be Fullers Bengal Lancer
-
I'm not sure yet that I really like it, but Shepherd Neame's Christmas Ale is certainly distinctive and good value in the village club at £2.25 for a 5.0% cask beer...
-
Sadly not one single Pint this week again due too working or being on duty. And I have still got too go another 6 days until Friday before I can have a beer. :moremad:
-
This week I have mainly being enjoying Bateman's Rosey Nosey....so there
Next week will be dry until Monday 20th at 5:00:00:01pm .
-
Only had 4 beers in Hull on Monday before catching the ferry, and BOTW was Windsor & Eton Conquereor 5% from Nelly's.
-
OK week for me
White Rose - Cheeky Blonde
White Rose - Blonde Bombshell
Brown Cow - Lionheart
Eastcoast - Hoppers 13
Sadlers - Winter Spice
Worthington - Winter Shield
Marstons - Old Empire
Bankss - Bitter
BOTW Brown Cow - Lionheart
Should be an interesting couple of weeks coming up , the list of upcoming guests at the Station are all 5% and up :D
-
Another modest week but a well kept St Austell's Tribute in The Fox,Willian gets the BOTW.
The annual pub crawl around Hertford should raise the pint count this week, and might result in a few reviews if I can decipher my scrawlings. There are still a few virgins in town.
-
Absolutely no doubts on BOTW this week, Springhead's Spice of Life. Full of Christmas spices with Cinnamon especially noteworthy and yet not too sweet. Light and dangerously drinkable at 5%. Very clever.

A few contenders this week and ordinarily the Dark Star Hophead would have been the one but pipped at the last minute by an excellent Thornbridge Lumford at the Paper Moon, Dartford. One of our 'Spoons is currently doing a Dark Star showcase so looking forward to a few goodies this week.
