One of the reviews for The Retreat mentions that it is under threat of closure by the end of this year.
Does anyone have any up to date news on this ?
This is a wonderful old fashioned boozer with excellent ales and would be a terrible loss if it were to close.
It's still going - Jane and Bernie were meant to be gone in October but it appears Admiral buggered up the paperwork so they are still in situ and looks like they will be around until January at least. After that...who knows?
I was there on Saturday totting up the beer census figures.
