An exuberant and lively pub with entrepreneurial customers, the staff offer a new dimension in customer service. Very flexible opening hours.

Here's another one
"A PUB has been ordered to close after police warned that someone would be killed there if it was allowed to remain open.
The Portsdown Inn had been allowed to develop a culture of late night lock-ins and violence, a meeting of Fareham Borough Council’s licensing panel heard."

The Portsdown Inn
Here's another list of "Best ... Pubs", five country ones, this time with a green twist, I've been to none of them.

I have been in one of them Thomas Lord http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/59775/ and agree it is a great pub, local brews & food. It is not cheap, ensure you have a good credit card or well stuffed wallet, but let's face it, it is in the Meon Valley not some sink estate oop North and locals can well afford the prices and thatched cottages
May be too foodie for some PuG reviewers, but worth dropping in if in area
PS named after the bloke who founded Lord's cricket ground, he is buried in the village
one careful owner
