Tiny Rebel Mojito Sour, only 3.5 % but strong flavours of Lime and Mint, I kind of liked it but three pints would probably be beyond me.
I'm coming across more and more beers with coconut in them. This is WRONG on so many levels. (Sorry for shouting.) Also the prevalence of milk stouts. What is it with sweet flavours in beers that don't originate in the malt? It's come to the point where I'm (almost) relieved to find an IPA made with American hops and tasting of mango.
Pint of beer, please, barman! British, if possible.
Buxton / Omnipollo collaberation Original Lemon Meringue Ice Cream
At 6% I just had to sample this on keg in Red Willow,Macclesfield but soon regretted the decision. The lemon was overpowering, and if that's all there is to this beer, then the Meringue Ice Cream part of the description was probably added to con hipsters and old fools like me into buying it.A victory of style over substance ,which happens all too often in the world of keg ,and at wallet busting prices.
However Northern Monk Neopolitain did exactly what it said on the keg tap,so generalisations may be dangerous.
