Cobblers indeed, obviously people often drink what's to hand if they have no choice, the result of Fuller's, Young's and Greene King's duopoly in London. When available, I don't choose to drink Doom Bar if another ale is available, but increasingly I'm going for expensive Craft crap as anything's better than Doom - I just can't take it anymore. Indeed, the other day I opted for a Heineken over Doom, so perhaps I constitute part of central London's Heineken Mafia.

I think I'm going to start replying with a link to my review of this pub every time someone has a go at Doom Bar.
I sometimes feel the same about Greene King IPA and this pub (although I haven't been there for a while so I had better re-review properly).
Looks like the beer isn't too bad either
