Kent:
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds) -No 5 4.4%abv.Plenty of East Kent hops this time.
Dartford Wobbler (Millis)-Dartford Wobbler 4.3%abv.Brown and malty. New brewery for me.
Angels and Demons-McCanns Janet Street 4.5%abv.Lovely dark brown almost black Green Hop Porter.Dry with hedge fruit.
My BOTW the wonderfully named (for those of us with a keen interest in the pretensions of popular culture) Janet Street.
A trip to Hebden Bridge on Saturday led to a very good Thornbridge Jaipur at the Old Gate.
Not a bad week, including a batch of Kent beers at the New Inn, Cropton beer festival.

A hard choice especially among the dark beers but I'll stick with one of Yorkshire's finest Harrogate - Kursaal Imperial Stout
Very quiet with just BOTW Oakham Bishops Farewell on cask. Reliable as ever.
Just a single pub visit so by default BOTW was Purple Moose Black Cherry Porter* in top form in the Old Cross Tavern .Not overpowering cherry, some vanilla and well balanced by good bitterness ,a very enjoyable quaff.
Next week looks equally bleak.
A day off last Tuesday with a short trip to Reading helped make the list even more interesting.

I'm going for the Northern Whisper Beltie, an excellent strong stout as tried for £3.65 in the Brain's City Arms in Cardiff.
BOTW Northern Whisper Beltie
Another quiet week, unfortunately.
Whitstable - Oyster Stout.
Fernandes - Half Nelson.
Tigertops - Little Mac.*
North Riding - Cascade.
Titanic - Plum Porter.*
Phoenix - Monkeytown Mild.
A two horse race between the porter and the Little Mac, both on superb form. As mentioned on previous BOTWs, I've found Tigertops beers a little variable of late, but when The Axeman gets it right, he definitely gets it right. As always, it's difficult to find much info on Tigertops brews, but according to Untappd it's triple hopped and dry hopped. It certainly had fantastic flavour for a 3.7% beer, with a cumulative, lingering bitterness.
