An amusing comparison!:D
Same thing happened to me with a tin of Wiper and True -milk stout.I lifted it of the shelf in my shed and transferred it to my top basket of my freezer.I was going to give it 30 mins but it exploded as I lay it down.I quickly tried to clean it up but it had turned to black ice instantly.Black slush all over the rest of the food in the freezer.
One of my much-cherished Gale's 'corkers' did that some years ago, but it was a more normal hazard of corked bottles than tins. Luckily my remaining hoard survives!
Does anyone still produce beer in traditional corked bottles? Other than the champagne-type Belgian/French things obviously.
