I love Newcastle for a crawl and have been to a few on the list, Hotspur, Bridge Hotel, Crown Posada, Strawberry, Bacchus, Tilly's Bar, and Bodega. Also done from the list Black Bull Corbridge, Olde Ship Seahouses, Head of Steam Durham and tried a few times for Fisherman's Arms Hartlepool but it always seemed to be closed even when I tried in advertised opening hours.

This is all a long time ago as I haven't been to Newcastle for nearly thirty years but I have been to the Crown Posada, the Cumberland Arms in Byker and the Half Moon at Ryton.
If the Fishermans in Hartlepool was a Cameron's pub then I would have been led there.
I stopped at a pub in Seahouses but have no idea what it was.
The only one I remember clearly was the Cumberland at Byker as it was an old run down pub in a derelict area but had fantastic beer, something that has been seen many times since.

These probably all fail the 'oldboots' test:
- Bridge, Newcastle Quayside
- Cumberland Arms, Byker
- Cluny, Ouseburn
- Quayside (Lloyds No 1)
- Bridge, Castle Garth
- Pitcher & Piano, Quayside
- Crown Posada
- Bodega
which I think just leaves...
- Wheatsheaf, Felling
- Alum, South Shields
- Head of Steam, Durham

Liberation for butcombe

Draught Burton Ale

I doubt it.

Waltham Forest seems to have Tesco Expresses everywhere, although as far as I know only one was a pub and it was originally Watney's so I can't say I'm bothered. There's a new one very close now and it never seems busy, I only use it to buy a loaf as I prefer their bigger one a bus ride away. The fact that it's half way to the King's Ford (where the milk for teas and coffees come from a Tesco Express) is entirely a coincidence.
