Dover recommendations

Hi

I'm planning to go to Dover Castle with a gaggle of family & friends over the Xmas break. Does anyone know of a decent pub in the Dover area (ideally not in the town centre) that's family friendly.

(If it's not too picky I'd prefer to go more in the Folkestone or Canterbury direction rather than towards Deal)

when I'm over that way.Admittedly its not that close to Dover,but the landlord knows his ales. I don't seem to have reviewed it lately,unfortunately.
