The George Ale House in Great Missenden. A great resurrection of what seemed to be a lost cause.
I loved The Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge, a lovely old traditional pub, now community owned. Great beer and a warm welcome. Just my sort of place
A classic wet led country pub, The Plough .
My dodgt knees have curtailed most days out but I did manage a short stay in Wigan in early February. This gave me a lengthy stop in Wigan Central before getting the train back. It's not really a micropub but is a great place.
POTM Wigan Central
Right at the end of the month there was a clear winner for me, the Dove St Inn in Ipswich. A contender for my top ten, if that list isn't confusing enough already.
Runner-up: Reindeer Inn, Overton
Winner: Bitter-Suite, Lichfield
Has to be the Bald Buzzard, Leighton Buzzard.
Warm welcome, great beer and a rare beer festival.
The Blue Boar.
Make sure if you are in Leicester to pay a visit here, lots of exotic strong stuff to get your teeth into.
The Bottle House
Ok, it's more than a touch foody, though the welcome was warm and the beer good. But hey, it's my sole new pub this year to date.
