So, nothing at all to do with being greedy & charging same price for cola made from syrup as charged for duty paid beer then?
The only thing stopping me going down the pub so much is money,lack of it that is. I manage it most days, I supose thats why I'm broke.Quote:

We have heard this before of course, in the fifties and sixties it was "tv is killing pubs", then bingo, then videos and video games in the seventies/eighties, now it's t'internet. No doubt music halls (bastard child of the pub, of course), variety theatre and cinemas got a slagging from publicans and brewers between the wars and earlier.
