Hoping for my first interesting beers this week at St Ives fest. Working there Friday and Saturday for a few hours, but hoping for beers that are not Sharps, Skinners and St Austell.
-
Three to choose from this week and all very good. Oakham Bishops Farewell, Saltaire Trio Pale and BOTW York Brewery Pride of York, 4.8%, pale, tasty, refreshing and very quaffable.

And I did, but only a gentle session as it had been a long day.
Lymestone Stone The Crows was nice in the Regal Moon, but BOTW is going to be Centurian's Ghost tried in The Baum.

Keltek Beheaded was the only one I had 2 of at St Ives beer festival, so it gets my vote for BOTW.

My Beer of the week this week is Ringwood Old Thumper. :D Had a good skinful yesterday evening in the Crown.

A local one this week, Castle Rock Harvest Pale in the Stanhope Arms at Stanton by Dale.
We even had to wait for them to put a fresh barrel on then they brought the beer to our table, that does'nt happen in that many pubs these days.

Enjoyed a Weetwood's Cheshire Cat in the Ship&Castle, Aberystwyth. Actually, I enjoyed 3 of them. Considering it beat Brewdog's 5am Saint and Calderdale's Floral Power in Port St Beer House that's a very good sign. The Ship and Castle in Aber is well worth a visit when you have your next journey to the deepest edge of Welsh nowhere - every day I went in there wer at last 2 new beers on. The first session in there it was disaappointing as there weren't enough light flavoursame beers, too many boring brown or dark ones. The second and third days in there it was very well supplied with some pale tasty beers.
Weetwood's Cheshire Cat. If there's a beer I can drink 3 of in 45 minutes then it's usually a good one.
