You're correct OB. As one of the organising committee I'm kinda expecting to be at Rochdale Beer Festival.
I can make the 21st October or 4th or 18th of November.
Can't do the 28th October either though.

I've been keeping quiet on the grounds that I am almost completely wiped out for weekends in November this year so couldn't really add value to the date discussion as I probably couldn't make it anyway..
In fact the only date I could possibly do is the weekend of the 18th....
....Whoopie
That's a good list of 13 pubs worth visiting with only the Magic Rock Tap having a problem opening time .So why not just leave the Magic Rock as a wild card, and visit the other 12 in the order shown .12 pubs is about an average hit list for these all day PuG crawls. Anyone not wanting to do the longer walks (to Slubbers and Star ) can spend a little longer in the Sportsman /Vulcan or Grove/Rat & Ratchet
The Star also has late opening, 5pm on Fridays. Another central pub is the Parish (Pump) although not a classic isn't bad. I would also visit the Sportsman after the Kings Head and then go to Wood St, then on to the central/southside pubs as Sheffield Hatter suggests.
Provisional booking now made for a hotel on the ring road by the canal for the 18th and 19th so that myself and Mrs G can make a weekend of it..
Mrs G googled Huddersfield and found it acceptable as apparently it has a fair few boutique and vintage shops, whatever they are ?
Magic Rock Tap now opens at 13:00 on Fridays, according to their Facebook page.
That's useful, we could now do
meet at Kings Head @Noon (Cherry Tree for early arrivals)
