Apparently Twisted Wheel is "merging" with Cropton, whatever that means. Full announcement awaited.
Thirst Class Ales are closing down over the next few months.
I wonder what 'cheaper craft beers' means. I would have thought that the price breweries impose on craft beer is what's hitting them in the pocket, when a pint of keg costs massively more than a pint of the equivalent on cask; perhaps they'd shift more beer if they were to push cheaper 'craft' cask, an example of which I've only seen once.
Red Cat Brewing have gone into administration. Don't think I've had anything from them personally.
You had a crap pint in The Westgate Winchester, down to the pub not the Brewer who where actually quite good.
