That's a pretty good list, although I accept John's reservations, and I have visited 14 . I haven't attempted the Bermondsey Beer Mile which could help boost that number but it is lagging in the poll for the next PuG crawl......

Impressive indeed.
Otherwise, just five for me: Bull, Tavern on the Hill, Royal Oak and the Rick Astley-themed Mikkeler Bar (formerly George & Dragon) though these are all traditional pubs. Otherwise just the Highbury Brewhouse, where there's about a 25% chance of getting a pint which rivals Sarson's on the pH scale.
You won't get warm beer if you vote for the Bermondsey beer mile.

Following on from the Crooked House demolition the local paper has done a list of 24 "historic" boozers with no listing or protection in the Black Country and 15 from the wider area. I'll have a good read later but thought some of you might enjoy it!
Thanks for the list.
I haven't done much in that part of the world, so this has given me a few targets. Forty of them, though the journalist has miscounted (no surprise there).
I haven't been through the whole list, just dipped in and found this one has been closed for some time. I wonder how many others are in the same sort of danger.
I've only been to one, as far as I know - no surprise there either! A good one, too.
Thanks again for posting this.
I have had a look through the 24 and i think there are 4 I haven't been in - The Black Bear, Red White & Blue, The Cabin and Forge Tavern. This is not for want of trying though! I visited the Forge a few years ago to find it closed and the Black Bear keeps odd opening times. I've tried to do it twice, hopefully 3rd time lucky! I have never been near The Cabin and neither has anyone else - not even a photo!
There are also at least 5 that are already closed and presumably under threat of conversion / demolition. Forge Tavern, The Merrivale, Red White & Blue, The Prince and Old Court House.
The Courthouse in Kingswinford seems to appear on the list twice. I have never heard of The Northway, Sedgley. The Cabin is in that area so that could be another mistake.
