Many beers close but Vibrant Forest Elmo wins the day. In The Borough Beer House.
Kent:
Three Legs-Pale#3 3.7%abv.Exemplary Pale Ale.Citrus with wall fruit on the finish.First time I'd tried this since the brewery's recent move to East Sussex's Costa Geriatrica. My BOTW.
Short list but quality:
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Nethergate Old Growler*
Arbor This Time Next Year Rodney*
Enjoyed all 3 with BOTW going to Arbor - This Time Next Year Rodney. A 6%, salted caramel, milk stout which is as rich and sweet as that sounds. A pint went down well on a chilly evening although I'm not sure I'd manage two. My companion likened it to a pint of Baileys and the name just beats the Old Growler for me.
An abstemious week:
Redemption - Fellowship **½
Timothy Taylor - Landlord **½
BOTW goes to Twickenham - Naked Ladies **¾ at The Captain Flinders (JD Wetherspoon)
Another week, another handful of pre-curry swifties:
Mallinsons - CF299.
Brew York - Clementine Challenge.
Sunbeam - Dance Before The Storm.
Fyne - Avalanche.
Welbeck Abbey - Atlas.
Wensleydale - Gamekeeper.
A solid bunch, but nothing particularly outstanding. The Avalanche just nosed it. Taken in Harry's Bar.
Hackney Wick and Tottenham Hale.
Howling Hops -- Road Runner *
Drop Project -- Crush (keg)
Full Circle --- Hoop *
Glasshouse -- Koyo Red *

BOTW went to Glasshouse Koyo Red on NBSS 4.5 form in the Beer Merchants Tap.
