Had to pass through London to get to Scotland, but no signs of trouble in the airport region.
It reminds me of the old saying - "red sky at night, Tottenham's alight".
Be some fun and games if this kicks off next year during the Olympics

Managed not to get caught up in anything so far. Was due to go to Wembley tomorrow for the England v Holland game but that's now called off and could be an interesting trip to White Hart Lane on Saturday if it goes ahead.
I would so love to smack some of these morons over the head with an iron bar.
I also suspect there will be a few pub closures / refurbishments coming up over the next few days.
The Wetherspoons in Woolwich (the Great Harry) was torched to the ground last night. Pic from the This Is Local London website..

Thanks Gill,
Basically battened down the hatches last night as I am in the middle of Enfield (2 miles away) Wood Green (2.5 miles away and went off Saturday night but largely unreported) and Tottenham (3 miles away). Fortunately none of these went off again last night, presumably because there's nothing left in Comet, and Hackney is on the other side of the great divide that is the A10 artery into London.
So sat in listening to all the sirens. Normally we sit there wondering what bit of local trouble the Old Bill are rushing to, so it was a bit of a surreal experience being able to watch where they were going live on BBC News Freeview..
I also have tickets for the Tottenham game on Saturday but, like Roger, I will be very surprised if the sporting events go ahead in London if this continues throughout the week...
