Didn't make it to the pub this week.
Indoors, I tried Little Earth Project Organic East India Pale Ale 7%abv.An aged beer,I found good condition, and a slight sharpness. My second glass, out of a winebottle sized container, was more farmyardy and earthy. Perhaps this was an effect of the Brettanomyces and other wild yeasts used. An interesting window on beer from the past, one I could probably get used to.
Some good beers in the two Chester Wetherspoons.
And also had to have an Extra Stout in the Boot Inn.
But I really enjoyed the Cavern of the Curious Gnome and went for a Chimay Blue on tap.
A very quiet week, only squeezing in a couple of quick pints, after my daughter's graduation, in Brum. Still, managed my first new pub tick of the year!
Black Country Ales - Citra Sublime.
Loddon - Citra Quad.
Black Country Ales - Pig on the Wall.
None really quickened the pulse, but the Citra Quad was probably the pick of the three. Tried at The Prince of Wales.
