Old Veterans (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/26121/). There is no such pub on May Street. It probably comes from an Internet article 'My Street, Salford' which mentions the Old Veterans.
EDIT
The Old Veterans in Salford was on Duxbury Street and demolished many years ago.

2nd EDIT. to Admin
Can this pub become the "Old Veteran" 1 My Street, Salford, M5 5GL

Hi Alan and Admins,

I have been in a pub called Old Veteran in Salford, this pub was a Greenalls tied house and it sold real ale.

I went in this pub on the 11 February 1995 the pub was on eccles new road in the weaste area of Salford

Not sure if it is the same one as listed,i will get round to adding it to the site when i get all my Salford photos added to my pub list.

I hope this helps a little

Cheers Alan

Thanks Alan

I have found the Eccles New Road listing in my 1990 "Ale of Two Cities" guide. Alan Gall lists an Old Veteran on Duxbury Street in the "Salford pubs 2" guide. Duxbury Street came off Eccles New Road according to an internet forum, as did 'My Street' where someone remembered an 'Old Vet.'
The one listed is on May Street in Eccles (council house semis) which is bound to be a corruption of My Street.
I think that must go and you can add your E.N.R version.

Cheers
Alan

Duxbury Street was all demolished apart from the pub. A new housing area was built and called 'My Street' which is still there just off Eccles New Road near Langworthy tram stop. The pub is still standing (seen clearly on Google SL) and is used as flats. The present address is 1 My Street. The spoof pub in Eccles was 1 May Street!

Hi Alan,

As we have no reviews or pictures of this pub I just went ahead and deleted it.

Thanks for that.
