Friday Stats: January 2010

We had 117,000 visits to the site which is slightly down on the 120,000 in January '09. Looking at the daily stats though it seems that the snow may have played a part in that as people didn't go to work (and presumably not the pub either).

In the month there were:-
2,394 photos of 897 pubs
476 comments added
313 new pubs suggested
158 new members joined

For comparison in January 2009 it was:-
2,343 photos of 1,283 pubs
365 comments added
438 new pubs suggested
127 new members joined

Since Hoppy mentioned new posts I thought I'd better include the forum posts stat.

We had 2015 posts in January 2010 compared to a total of 24 in January 2009. So just a slight increase there.

As ever any further stats you'd like to know just say and I'll see what I can dig up.

Hi Dave, what do you think about showing comparisons against the previous month as well as the same month in the previous year.

It might also be interesting to build up a month-by-month list over the year for photos, recommendations etc.

We'll add this to our future stats posts, should be one in a couple of weeks time.

The recent influx is going to generate a bit of a hiccup of activity so we shouldn't worry if it dips a bit in coming months, the interesting one will be year on year.
