'Fraid not MrB, it's our son's 18th: I might be able to get to Wittersham, but unlikely, unfortunately.

Afraid not MB. I would like a weekend away but the coffers are empty. I bet the train fare costs a fortune and my legs are far to hairy to attract even a Hungarian HGV driver so hitching is out.

I used to live in Derby for 3 years. I lived opposite Victora on Cowley Street, do you know the pub?

Oh I was wondering if you are going to new JDW The Thomas Leper? Never been there..

I don't remember the Victoria although I have been to the Horse & Groom nearby.

The Thomas Leper is right next door to the Standing Order, two JDWs next door to each other, weird.

I haven't been in yet although I was dragged kicking and screaming into the same building when it was Yates's.
