Today the Star at Folly Hall is 10 years old. I know its hard to believe, it seems to have always been an integral part of the Town drinking scene. But its true, it must be Sam says so. She, and her then partner, Tyrone transformed a basic back street boozer into one that has become a classic 'must visit' beer house.

Sam has retained her policy of no music, and no games machines, preferring to base the pub's success on the craic around the bar from its loyal band of regulars. It even achieved the accolade of 'CAMRA Yorkshire Pub of the Year' in 2002, and has won a host of other awards in its lifetime.
If you have never visited, why not ? Get down and try it out. I am sure you will be impressed. Happy Birthday Star, wishing you plenty more.
