The Fingerpost (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/56124/)

This pub is now the Pelsall Social Club and has a CIU sign outside. It does have 3 real ale handpulls in the bar and in the lounge, and someone in there said it was a sort of pub come club now. Beers were the Banks and the guest was York Naughty Noelle which was a good beer.

Just thought the change of name should be noted, although there are "transfer" type things on all the lounge windows showing Fingerpost Lounge.

Don't know how you want to record it. I left a card.

Hi Gill,

We have corrected the name to Pelsall Social Club (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/56124/). Your review should clarify the situation.

Thanks for that.

I think this is an error, guys

The Pelsall Social Club is based at the cross-roads where the fingerpost actually is and has a Fingerpost Lounge. It is a club and shouldn't be on PuG.

The Fingerpost pub is just up the road and still operating.

Andy Ven should be able to give full details.

As they say in the East End gangster films, this is on my manor. Dave moved Gill's review off the Fingerpost pub page on Friday because she was writing about the social club.

Soup Dragon is correct in that the Fingerpost (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/56124/) is a pub and always has been (formerly the Royal Oak until the gaffer died tragically (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west_midlands/3087861.stm)in 2003).

Pelsall Social Club (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/75886/)(also known locally as the Scratter) includes a room called the Fingerpost Lounge, hence the confusion, but it is definitely (and has always been) a club rather than a pub.
