This one was known as The Engine when it closed (as shown on the exterior signage which still remains in situ).

It's been shut for years, but not demolished or converted so I wonder what its future is?

We have corrected the name of The Engine (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/1221/). At least there is still hope with that one, from your pictures it at least looks fairly sound still (complete with satellite dish).
