Not the best planning given that it mostly clashes with 'Spoons fest. There isn't much that would tempt me into a Slug & Lettuce but to be fair, they are trying and I suppose it gives me an excuse to try a couple out although I won't be going too far out of the way for it.

I may have the ideal solution, come to Southsea, try out the S & L offerings (http://www.slugandlettuce.co.uk/southsea/events/), then stagger next door to sample the JDW ones (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/69788/)

If you are still standing, then the Hole in the Wall (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/54396/) is near by, and has accommodation, so you could, if your wallet & liver allow, also have a nightcap in the Barley Mow (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/13961/) just over the road

Popped into Slugs in Clapham last Friday as the gig I went to down the road finished quite early and they had a Festival poster outside. The place was heaving, music was thumping and the hand pumps offerred Pride and Bombardier. Went in the Falcon next door.
