The Red Lion Hotel (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/1286/) and Brookes (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/61699/) appear to have been part of the same business. They appear on Google as
Brookes Cafe Bar & Red Lion Lodge (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=LU1+3AA++&hl=en&ll=51.87773,-0.414873&spn=0.001563,0.00338&sll=51.895563,-0.432758&sspn=0.04947,0.108147&vpsrc=6&t=h&z=18&iwloc=lyrftr:h,10042464623300416839,51.877607,-0.41482) but when you follow the link, it takes you to The Red Lion Hotel (http://www.theredlionhotel.net/), where there is now no mention of Brookes.

Looking at the two photos, the one submitted on Brookes by Graham Mason (October 2008 (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/flash/flashcontainer.php?photoid=30214&maxwidth=957&maxheight=718&photowidth=1920&photoheight=1440)) shows the cafe bar's signs above the door and on the left hand edge of the building. In mine (March 2011 (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/flash/flashcontainer.php?photoid=141653&maxwidth=957&maxheight=718&photowidth=1920&photoheight=1440)), on the Red Lion page, these have been removed. This suggests that Brookes is no more, so perhaps the photo could be moved across to the Red Lion and the Brookes page deleted?

Sorry for going on at such length, but I know you don't like deleting entries that have photos or reviews.

Cheers

Hi sheffield hatter,

We have merged those listings and deleted the listing as suggested.

Thanks for that.
