"We couldn't believe it when we were told in the strongest possible terms to leave.
A woman member of staff hollered 'no bells' at us. "

The Half Moon is a much better pub anyway.

"But Mr Carre, a council officer, added: "To ban us simply because some of us were wearing bells on their clogs is simply too absurd to be true. "

There is a certain delicious irony in a council officer being a victim of Jobs-worthiness.............

Reminds me of a Hairy Biker comment.

Part way through a cooking demo Si said "Now I'd like to give you some advice at this stage".

After a 5 second pause he said "Morris Dancing, just don't". :D

The Half Moon, The Colpitts-they take me back. I liked Sam Smiths then, even allowing for the folk music!( and the prize Durham university twit, who announced to the assembled congregation in the Half Moon" I'm not an anarchist,I'm a libertarian socialist".) The Bass wasn't bad in there, either.
