I've renewed the Pubs Galore pool and everyone who has played in a PG SportGuru pool before should have received an e-mail invitation.

For anyone else who wants to join, the code for our pool is SEALWAIL.

Go to the link below and follow your nose, any problems ask on here.

I've applied too. They put up a pool for Sunderland fans, so I think I am in that one as well. Bound to be bottom of a pool of Sunderland football experts. Suprised I wasn't bottom of ours with the lack of knowledge I have. Enjoyed this one but couldn't cope with the fantasy one.

All accepted and we have 13 in all so a good turnout. Latecomers welcome but you may not be in time to score points for the first weekend.

Good luck everyone

I have been looking for the mistake as I appear to be top of Pub Galore leaderboard, and 7th among the Sunderland fans leaderboard. Just shows how much you need to know to get a decent score. Don't worry lads - it will be all downhill from now but I am going to bask in a bit of glory this week.

Well done Gill, there were four draws out of the six games today so that must have helped you out.

Nice to see PG's two Sunderland fans sitting first and second in the table. ;)

Obviously Sunderland themselves will be top of the Premier League by 2pm next Saturday...

That one was an easy prediction at the moment..............:D

But the current Ars&*al form does make things a bit difficult at the moment for Sportsguru predictions..

Next game for them is it the mighty Sunderland at home, and normally that's a shoe in for a decent home banker, but not at the moment..
I wonder if our resident Sunderland supporters would like to advise us how they see the next game going ?

The way things are going for Sunderland, I dread to think. One thing to be said is that in recent years whenever another team is going through a bad run of form and is desperate for a result, more often than not it’s been Sunderland who obliged. Our next two matches are trips to Arsenal and Bolton. :(

If Steve Bruce’s recent tactical decisions are anything to go by, there is a good chance we will line up against Arsenal without any recognised strikers.

Just spotted that I had a bit of a blinder last weekend - now up to 3rd! Also now in then Top 10% of global players!

Was going to stick City down for a 6-1 away win at Old Trafford but decided against it at the last minute.

Didn't think I'd done that well this week as I got 50% of the results wrong. But looks like everyone else had a worse 'mare than me and somehow I took the round this week, helped in no small part by having a feeling that Utd's defence would be exposed by the City forward line.

And also now find myself in the top 4% of global players, but I have a feeling, like Spurs current good form, that it can't last..

Well it's very tight at the top, with less than one point separating the top 4 places.

1 Al 10000 121.98
2 gann 121.55
3 hondo 121.48
4 ROBCamra 121.16

Hondo just sneaked above me this week.

With 3 of us predicting the same score for Monday's match.

Al will go further clear if he's right and we're wrong, but it will be even tighter if we 3 get it right.

Well THAT result for Fulham didn't change anything at the top. :p

Well done to Gill for being the only one of us to predict a Fulham win.

trainman scored a point by not picking.

delboy20 showed a terrible lack of faith in Villa today, only going for a 2-1 win.

The matches have been so scattered over the holiday period that I seem to have missed out a few and my standing has been affected accordingly. Having said that, I don't think I would have got many right anyway given some of the results.

There has certainly been some strange results over Christmas... I would have probably scored more if I'd not bothered.

Well done Hondo for winning the 2011/2012 Sport Guru Pubs Galore league.

Yes well done Hondo and you Al for second place. Just like the actual league there were some good tussles in the top 5. Mid table mediocrity for me this year which proves last year was a fluke :-)

Yes, congratulations Hondo. Obviously all that time scouring through news items kept him well up on insider info. Mid-table mediocrity for me this season but at least I did jump a place on the last day!

Well done Champ!
Did anyone else also play Super6? I fell one point short of finding out whether skybet were rewarding those with 30+points with the same £30 as last year, finishing on 29, grrr!

Log on to Super6, select the 'League' tab at top, change to 'season 2011-2012' from drop down box - your total for season will be displayed.
Tracy McGrae from Tyldesley won it (43pts), but she'll be disappointed that the star prize went down from £100k last year, to a trip to Milan derby this time! She probably would have preferred one of the weekly £5000s!
