If anyone is interested I have set up a Pubs Galore pool on SportGuru. I think most people that have played before should have an invitation e-mail that they can join through. If not the pool code for this competition is VIMSJAMB, ask if you need help joining.

The competition covers just 19 International rugby games over about five weeks. Usual rules apply, just pick the winner of each game and the winning margin. Points are awarded for picking the right winner and getting within 5 points of the correct margin. There are also bonus points for whoever gets closest to the actual margin in each pool.

The first game is this Friday 22nd July and the competition runs to 27th August.

I'll keep an eye on the pool but as I will need to approve any applications please don't leave it to the last minute.

Cheers
Clive

I was going to go for a massacre, but bottled it for a more conservative guess.

Yeah I know. I had them to win by 60 not score 60. :(

Only one game this weekend, New Zealand v South Africa, and it starts in less than an hour. Strongers and A&H not picked yet. Unsurprisingly everyone so far has gone for NZ.

And unsurprisingly NZ took it, albeit a bit surprisingly by 33 points.
So a solid point for everyone except Hondo, who got the bonus points for being the most gun-ho for the Kiwi's.

Well having just got back from 2 weeks in Mao - Menorca I was surprised to find that I'm top of the PuG league, 3rd in all England fans and 17th in the Global league.

Just imagine where I might be if I knew anything about rugby. ;)

I've got USA to win today though whilst everyone else has gone for Japan. So it could well go all pear shaped very soon. :D

Well it's all down to the last match between Clive and I.

I've gone for Ireland, Clive's gone for England and the bookies have the match at 10/11 for both teams.

I might even watch the game, which would be a first.

What sport is it that is on?

Big game today between Leeds and Wigan. I remember a good few years back, 1996, when Wigan came to our place after winning 8 cups on the bounce. Full of confidence they were. There was absolutely no chance little Salford could overturn them when they were going for their 9th one.

26-16

Bye bye wigan.

Come on Leeds.

Assume you are on NZ against Australia as well then. Cracking game currently 25-20 to Aus with 15 mins to go. Good sporting day with prem league, challenge cup final, T20 semi-finals and F1 qualifying in the rain.

Sorry mate, but you'll get a SportGuru 'honour' as runner-up. I thought it would be a tough game for England but kept the faith and even got the 11 pt margin spot on.
