As an aside, Martha's in Portsmouth (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/60866/) was the Suffolk Arms until 1948 but changed to Martha's because everyone knew it as that, due to former licencee Martha Kingsbury (d. 1914)

Now just a part of soon to be lost history, once housed a brothel during the 1930s closed last month & due for demolition as part of Northern Quarter "improvements"
