The Pen Nook (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/43302/)in Deepcar is now called simply The Nook.

The address of The Crown Inn (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/43117/) at High Green is Sheffield Road, not Penistone Road. Please delete the "Westwood House" part of the address - that's another building altogether and nothing to do with the pub.

The postal address of The Waggon & Horses (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/57754/) at Langsett correctly includes the nearby small town of Stocksbridge, but as with other isolated country pubs this can be slightly misleading. As mentioned before, Royal Mail addresses are all very well when it comes to sending letters, but for finding the pub on the ground less so (and yes, I know there's a map:)). I would suggest that "A616, Langsett" would do nicely, but as the area is called Langsett this does not need to be part of the address. If this does not adequately fill the space, the main road is called Whams Road hereabouts, so "Whams Road (A616)" would be fine, in fact possibly better. Sorry for dithering.

Cheers

Hi sheffield hatter,

We have corrected the name of The Nook (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/43302/) and the address of The Crown Inn (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/43117/).

With The Waggon & Horses (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/57754/) I went with the Whams Road suggestion which sounded by far the best to me. I agree that the Royal Mail addresses are useless at times, and we are inconsistent with the way we handle the addresses. I suppose the guidance is that the address is to get the mail there and the map is to get people there. To take a gross example in the past we have had requests to change postcodes (to cater for sat nav foibles) which is a huge no-no, the address should be factually accurate and not contain fudges is probably my best guide.

Thanks for those.
