I've just seen a pump clip for the first royal wedding beer I've noticed so far.
It's from Batemans and it's called Willy's Crown Jewels.
Haven't got the beer yet though.
Any more sightings of Royal Wedding ones?
Castle Rock Brewery's "Kiss Me Kate" and JW Lees's "Middleton's"
Not yet brewed, and will be a special AFAIK in one pub (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/14096/) or two local (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/14086/) pubs only, by micro Havant Brewery
The name suggested was "Havant been invited" but may settle on "Havant eloped" as the first was thought to be too negative, I prefer the former, but then I am the final customer, not the landlady buying a barrel
I will let you know when it happens
Moodley's Royal Match - one British hop and one German.

Gleaned from April's What's Brewing:
Quartz - William Wins-her.
Wold Top - I Will.
Harveys - Royal Nuptial Ale.
Ascot - Royal IPA
Brodies - Republic Revolution Red. (anti-Royal Wedding ale)
Have a guess which one I like the sound of?
Perusing the Bexley Beer Festival ale list Skinner's Kate Loves Willy immediately stands out. Ooh matron! Westerham also have one called Matrimoniale!

That's lucky, had planned to be in The Black Friar tomorrow a while back,so will get a wider than expected choice of ale:drinkup::nishelypished:
Mind you ,it doesn't say which day it starts.I'm not going into London on Royal Wedding Day for any reason.

They probably won't have them available until the wedding day though and I would imagine that trying to get served anywhere in Central London will be a nightmare on the day itself!

I see on the News yesterday that there will be NO BEER at all allowed at the royal wedding reception as its seen as too lower class, They will Only be serving Flutes of Champagne and Glasses of fine Wines. Do they know the Price of a Glass of Beer is now more expensive then a Glass of wine in some Pubs.
I'm glad I would not have too go otherwise I would have to take a few good Bottled Ales with me. :D
Was in 'Spoons in Bromely on Friday and they had 4 Wedding beers, all from Weltons! Didn't try any but did have the Fullers Wedding offering in the Partridge. Was OK but mothing special.

I will refuse to drink any 'wedding' named beer - i wouldn't have Kiss Me Kate the other day - and do my best to avoid the whole lot on TV - a full day in the Turf at Bloxwich i think!

Isn't the full title of that beer, Kiss Me Kate Kiss Me Willy - it was on at the JD beer fest the week before last. I too would be reluctant to ask for a beer by that name

Yes I reckon asking a young lady, or even lad, behind bar "kiss me willy please" could soon land you in lots of trouble :o
I had to ask the barman for a Deep Shaft last night. Wasn't even a Royal Wedding beer.

and to think I thought Hambleton's Hoof Hearted was a bit dodgy to ask for:eek:
Gosh, just wait till someone names a beer "kinda lingers" after the final song in the final "Not the Nine O'Clock News" :D

I'm another one who's boycotting any royal wedding related products - I passed on the Skinner's Kate Loves Willy yesterday. (Shame, as I like their beers, and anything with a double entendre in the name is usually a bonus.)
Happily at least three pubs on my doorstep have already declared Friday to be a 'Wedding Free Zone', so a decent crawl without being forced to suffer any of this irrelevant tosh is on the cards.

Lucky you, my local has gone for full works, opening early, face painting, bouncy castle etc
Because it easily in walking distance, and does promise bacon butties, I will no doubt go there for a couple of pints at lunchtime, much as I would love to avoid the whole thing
Saw something from the Tring Brewery at the weekend called The Royale We, not sure what it tasted like

I have not tried any of the royal special Beers as Ive not seen anything out of the ordernary. Now Im working on duty for the next Nine Days so I wont get the chance too try any even if I wanted too.
Just had a perusal of the Bexley Beer Festival (starts tomorrow) beer list and of the 65 ales mentioned, 20 are Wedding related beers (although I have included Tipples Redhead and Skinners Ginger Tosser for my own amusement). There are 4 breweries (Elgood, Goddards, Springhead and Windsor & Eton) that have all come up with a beer named Windsor Knot. Things could get messy.

Went over to The Reindeer, Overton for a pub lunch today and spotted these in a side room ready for the Royal Wedding Beer, Cider & Music Festival starting tomorrow:
Acorn - Up the Aisle.
Derwent - William's Quest.
Mallinson's - Prince's Perk.
Moorhouses - Royal Appointment.
Northumberland - Bonus Bank Holiday Bitter.
Phoenix- Bride's Nighty.
Saltaire -Nuptuale.
Dr Morton's - Royal Welding Celebrated Flux.
Five Towns - All Ale To Me and our Lass.
I think the Northumberland brew should appeal to the more republican amongst us.

Full marks to Shepherd Neame's marketing department who, no doubt after a great deal of consideration, came up with the inspired name 'Royal Wedding Ale' for their royal wedding ale...

Was anyone drinking the health of the horse named 'Royal Wedding', which zoomed home by 12L (returned 4/1) at Fontwell yesterday?
I had heard mention of it and thought it an excellent opportunity to back early, lay later (after a deluge of monarchist money). Opened 9/4 in some shops, I took 3/1 on exchanges, then couldn't believe my eyes as, after a brief contraction in price, it lengthened to 6/1(!) at one point, before the off on Betfair. All this on behalf of a pal who couldn't get to a PC, but eventually backed at 3/1 & laid at evens (in running). It won, so that was the best 'Royal Wedding' event of the day, for me. Or at least my mate.

It was also the (obvious) tip that I heard on the radio yesterday morning so I am surprised at the good price.

Tried Something Blue from Blue Monkey on Sunday which, according to the pump clip is, "brewed to celebrate Bill and Kathy's wedding". Beautiful.
At risk of being dragged off to the Tower, I see Skinners have named a beer after the Best Man:
