Closed Derby pubs

Hi Conrad..

Here we go again.. it is not nice seeing these pubs closed as they were part of me in my early days of adult life.

Gallant and Hussar (Commonly known as GH) has closed.

Site of my first ever drunken night as I just became student in Derby!

Swan & Salmon Inn also closed

On first day in Derby, I actually threw out of this pub for being underage! Never went back until 2007 (12 years apart) and the person who threw me out was still there!

Drank there few times. Nothing special

I have marked Gallant and Hussar (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/7089/), Swan & Salmon Inn (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/7235/) and The Roebuck (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/7203/) as closed.

It is sad how many pubs are closing. I am hoping the trend will stop and we will be left with good pubs, doesn't seem to be in a hurry to do that though.

Swan & Salmon and Gallant & Hussar actually placed only 100 yards apart on same road.

What a strange concidence.. they closed in same year
