As a more complete answer to this, it stems from a comment from Dave in this thread (http://forums.pubsgalore.co.uk/showthread.php?t=389), it has carried on as a theme in the forum and the twigs are an indicator of extreme style ;).

It may be a bit of an old chestnut but I think its plane for yew to see this is a knotty problem, perhaps we can't see the wood for the trees or we may even be barking up the wrong tree, maybe we should stop pineing, turn over a new leaf and pass round the twiglets.
