November 2010 saw 157,000 visits to the site, continuing the trend of things slowing down into the winter. Still very nicely up on the 118,000 visits a year earlier.

The end of the month was particularly slow, November 24th onwards was more than 10% lower than I'd have expected. That did have me worried and wondering what had happened for a few days until the snow that had already covered most of the UK reached Bristol. At that point I remembered that for some reason when it snows the traffic to the site plummets - I guess maybe less people venture out to pubs so aren't so interested in looking them up on the net.

Activity for the month on the site was:-
3416 photos of 1597 pubs
1133 reviews added of which 531 were virgin reviews
464 new pubs suggested of which were 435 approved and 262 are open
606 map points corrected
385 web links suggested
325 new users joined
21 beer festivals suggested
205 pubs reported closed
38 pubs reported open

This compares to November 2009 when we had:-
6177 photos of 1112 pubs
602 reviews added
176 new pubs suggested
470 map points corrected
94 web links suggested
80 new users joined
13 beer festivals suggested

The forum had 1700 posts, compared to 794 in the same month last year.

Dave,is it possible to say how many unreviewed pubs there are currently in the database, just so that we all have something to aim at:)

As of today (rather than the end of November)
We have
36,618 open pubs without a review as opposed to the 17,383 with review.

Photos is slightly more positive with 21,228 open pubs without pictures as opposed to the 32,773 with pictures.

BF - you do the outstanding A-M's and I'll do the N-Z's.

Maybe we can keep that as a running statistic - quite interesting!
