We are booked into travel lodge for 4 nights. IOM was our first time at one of these events, but we arrived late due to ash cloud. Don't really need an excuse to go to Sheffield, but this will be our first time stopping there, so will visit more of the good pubs.

Hello all,

thought I'd bring this thread back to life with a bit of info about the Members Weekend as we now get closer to the event, I'm on the local organising committee.

If you are thinking of attending please pre-register if you can - this can be done online at www.camra.org.uk/agm (http://www.camra.org.uk/agm) or by using the form from Whats Brewing. The deadline is 21st March. If you pre-register you help us know how many are likely to turn up, you also help yourself as you will get sent your handbook and badge through the post ahead of the weekend. When you arrive you won't have to queue up at the registration desk, you can simply drop your duplicate badge in the box and take a conference bag. Incidentally the design of the bags this year are a bit different to previous years... will be interesting to see what people think!

After the March Whats Brewing comes out, the booking lines for the coach trips and brewery open days will go live. Here is what you can book:

via CAMRA HQ:
Thornbridge trip - taking in Hall Brewery, Riverside Brewery & Greystones pub
Wentworth Brewery trip
Acorn Brewery trip
Oakwell Brewery trip
Ashover Brewery trip
Staveley trip - taking in Spire Brewery and RAW brewery
Peak Ales Brewery trip
Cider trip - taking in Woodthorpe Hall cider maker and Arkwright Arms pub
Ghost walk
Flood history pub walk
The brewery and cider trips cost £20 including travel, drinks and food and the guided walks cost £5. The exceptions are Ashover which costs £10 (no drinks included) and Acorn (no food included but brewery gift bag is included instead)

via Barnsley branch
Sheffield Brewery open day
Bradfield Brewery open day
Crown Brewery open day
Kelham Island Brewery open day
Blue Bee Brewery open day
For the open days the brewery tour is free and there is a bar or pub there selling that brewery's beer, with the exception of Blue Bee which is £5 for the brewery tour including beer samples (as they don't have a bar!)

Also available from CAMRA HQ in advance of the event are tickets for the Sheffield Supertram system - we have a special offer of 3 day tickets for £8.

The venue for the AGM is the Octagon Centre, located on the University of Sheffield campus and the Members bar will be over the footbridge in University House, where food will also be available.

Many of the pubs will be putting special events on for the members weekend too.

For more info see Members Weekend section of the Sheffield & District CAMRA branch website - www.sheffieldcamra.org.uk.
